About

Our Consultants

Collectively, Mattioli Woods’ consultancy team offers an enviable level of knowledge and expertise. All consultants are professionally qualified and hold the required industry qualifications.

Most of our clients have been introduced to us by recommendation from their adviser, existing clients, or an employer. Developing a close working relationship is key and therefore the first step is normally to hold a meeting on a ‘without obligation’ basis. The purpose of the meeting would be to gain a full understanding of the prospective client’s position and key issues and objectives, and for the client to gain an insight into Mattioli Woods.

Following the meeting, Mattioli Woods would typically carry out an in-depth review of the client’s financial affairs, including all pension, personal investment and trust arrangements. This forensic review would lead to a discussion paper, followed by a meeting soon after. In setting out the strategic options, consideration will be given to the client’s appetite for risk, opportunities to minimise taxation, and also wider family issues and where appropriate, business issues. An annual review meeting, usually face-to-face, lies at the heart of the on-going management of the strategy, supported by more frequent contact when appropriate.
