Graduates

Our graduate training programme

From day one you will be part of a small team of trainees where you will receive all the necessary building blocks to become a skilled account manager. You will have a dedicated training manager who will use a variety of training methods covering all aspects of wealth management, including pension accounting and administration, regulation, legislation, strategic consultancy and investment planning, as well as organisational skills. The process takes approximately four months before you move into a team. From the outset, you’ll be actively encouraged to start studying for your professional qualifications through the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Responsibility is given as early as you develop and you can expect to start building your own client caseload within six months of starting. Potentially, you could soon be looking after assets of up to £50 million!

Your training programme starts here:

1. Trainee Account Manager

You will start training in a small group under the guidance of a dedicated training manager.
Training covers the running of our bespoke SSAS and SIPP products, as well as technical
legislation and wide area of investments options.
You are encouraged to study for your professional qualifications.
Full training will be provided to give you all the tools you need to be an effective account manager.

2. Developing Account Manager

After completing your initial training period, you will move into a larger team of account managers.
You will start to interact directly with clients and build your own portfolio of schemes.
A mentor will be assigned to guide you through your next stage of development.
You will start to become more independent, managing and prioritising your own workload.

3. Account Manager

Here you will be confidently managing and administering a portfolio of SIPP, SSAS and personal
clients.
Your portfolio size will increase and you will be given more responsibility.
No two days are the same as you manage your clients’ requirements.
You will develop and maintain professional relationships internally and externally.
