Intelligent pension planning: winning solutions for your clientsDate: 01 May 2012
Event type: Accountancy seminar
Venue: Leicester Marriott Hotel
Time: 9.30 am - 12.30 pm
Cost: Free As we move further into 2012 leaving another turbulent year firmly behind us, we are still facing an uncertain economic outlook. With 2012 being an Olympic year for the UK, is there a finish line in sight to the economic doom and gloom? Or are there still many hurdles yet to overcome? This year we will be focusing our seminar season on delivering key information and advice regarding the relevant economic and investment issues, which will be affecting your clients’ future savings. We will provide an incisive update into the latest changes in pension legislation and discuss the impact of any potential restrictions that may come into force, such as the much discussed speculation of restrictions on tax relief to pensions in the March budget. Despite all this uncertainty, we still believe there are many opportunities available within the pensions arena and that now more than ever is the time to develop an intelligent pension strategy.
Workshop summary1. ‘It’s the economy stupid!’ – as Bill Clinton said. An incisive economic review and the impact of economic uncertainty on asset classes – pension and personal. 2. Pension update – pensions potential – protected rights changes, automatic enrolment deadlines, flexible drawdown and international pensions. 3. Self-investment – helping clients/businesses – exploring connected transactions including unquoted shares, loans, goodwill and property. 4. Inheritance planning – the use of trusts, offshore bonds and trustee services, and integrating IHT mitigation with wealth management. The seminar will finish at around 12.15 pm where there will be a buffet lunch provided and the opportunity to ask the speakers any questions you may have.
