Karena Woodall
Consultant
Karena has worked in the financial services industry since 1986 when she joined a major life insurer. During this time Karena gained a wealth of pensions knowledge and has become competent in a wide range of pension arrangements from State provision to final salary schemes, along with the changes in pensions legislation.
She joined Mattioli Woods in 1999 to provide technical support to the consultancy team and was also responsible for the running and management of the company's portfolio of group scheme clients. In 2005 Karena moved into consultancy, dealing not only with group schemes, but providing bespoke pensions advice to directors of small to medium-sized businesses and partnerships.
Karena provides regular articles for our newsletters 'Exploring Pensions' and its sister newsletter 'Exploring Group Pensions'. Karena is part of the original team that instigated the production of 'Exploring Group Pensions' and she continues to provide its editorial comments
Karena also acts as a voluntary adviser for the Pensions Advisory Service.
