John Bradley

John has been involved in the Financial Services Industry since 1973, commencing his career with Eagle Star running the Leicester Life Department. In 1975, John moved to Pointon York where he helped establish the company's involvement in small self-administered schemes. He left Pointon York as Director in charge of pensions administration in 1984 and established his own business specialising in advice to owner managed business owners on self-administered arrangements. The JB Group joined Mattioli Woods in 2008, where John continues to provide specialist pensions advice with particular expertise in maximising tax planning opportunities for self-administered arrangements.

John has been involved with The Association of Pensioneer Trustees (APT) since 1984 and has been Chairman of the organisation twice during that period. When the APT merged with the SIPP Provider Group in 2005, John was the inaugural Chairman of the group until September 2007. His involvement with the industry body has involved contact with the Government up to ministerial level and the negotiation of many concessions that have been important to the industry, including the deferment of annuity purchase to age 75.
