Doug joined a small building society as a customer adviser in 1995 and quickly progressed to a section leader position. After gaining experience in the basics of financial services over a three-year period, he moved to a reputable insurance company as agent and again quickly progressed to an area manager's role, gaining various professional qualifications along the way. In 2002 Doug moved to Mattioli Woods as an account manager, gaining in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of self-invested pension schemes and after two years he progressed to consultancy, where he now provides bespoke financial advice to the self-employed, partnerships and directors of small to medium-sized limited companies.
